Ferry Ride from Butterworth Railway Station to Penang Island

As soon as we arrived at Butterworth train station, we immediately went to the ferry that will take us to Georgetown,Penang. It is quite far from train station to the pier. Light baggage like small trolley or a backpack is highly recommended. The fare cost RM 1.20. It only takes less than 10 minutes to reach the Penang Island.



When you arrive at Weld Quay, Georgetown you will see the Rapid Penang buses.



There is a Free Shuttle Bus that will take you around the central area of Georgetown. Look for FREE CAT sign that is written in front of the bus. And on the side of the bus you can see City Hop On graphics.
